Strandhotel de Horn is situated in the middle of a unique nature resort, bordering to nature resort 'The Swan-water' on one side and the tulip-fields on the other side. The centre
of Callantsoog and the beach are situated at 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. A lot of interesting trips are possible in the surroundings of Callantsoog, such as the West-Frisian
market in Schagen, the famous Cheese market in Alkmaar or a cycling tour around the Frisian Isle of Texel.
Please note: usage of crockery and cutlery, microwave and coffee/tea facilities in the public area are free of charge. Callantsoog is a beautiful touristic village, near the Northsea beach with a lively village center with cosy cafes, restaurants and terraces. In the Summer season there is a fair every Wednesday as well as various events such as country weekend, fairground etc.
Various trips are organised from Callantsoog, i.e. the nearby West-Frisian market in Schagen and the famous Cheese markt in Alkmaar. Also Den Helder with i.e. its Fort Kijkduin (a historical fortress built by Napoleon's orders) and Texel are also easily accessible from the village of Callantsoog.
