The whole area has a relaxed atmosphere and exudes warm hospitality. You can enjoy walks and cycle trips along Lake Ijssel and take a boat out. The historic towns of Enkhuizen, Medemblik and Alkmaar make excellent day trips. The exciting city of Amsterdam and the North Sea Coast are also well worth a visit.
