The original chapel began to be built in 1708 and was completed in 1719. Throughout the century, it underwent several modifications, when architecture and decoration were improved. The privileged location of the church of Our Lady of the Rosary - in a large church, in the geographical center of the urban area - proves its historical importance as the nucleus from which the urbanization of the city has spread.
