In 1897, Jewish residents in Buenos Aires laid the cornerstone of what would be the synagogue. With the growth of the Jewish community, the building was modified in 1932, giving rise to what is currently being built.
The style of the building has Romanesque and Byzantine influences.
At the front there are semicircular arches surrounded by sculptural models. In the center of the arches is the star of David.
Also known as the Freedom Temple. It was the first synagogue built in Buenos Aires. In December 2000, it was declared a National Historic Landmark.
